He and best friend, Dolla Boy, also known as Earl Conyers, self-released their debut album, "United We Stand, United We Fall", in 1997. The album caught the attention of Ludacris, who signed them to his Disturbing tha Peace label, and the future seemed bright. After his recovery, 2 Chainz launched a solo career, and was later signed with Def Jam. He has appeared as a guest artist on a number of tracks with such artists as Ludacris, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz, Bow Wow, Diddy, Nicki Minaj, and Kanye West. His solo debut is scheduled for release in August of 2012.
