He created his own traveling antiques company called Antique Archeology and began traveling around the country, looking for antiques and vintage pieces that went unrecognized by the average person. His reputation for finding hidden gems brought him to the attention of The History Channel. In 2010, he and his business partner, Frank Fritz, became the co-hosts of the series "American Picker", a documentary production that follows them around the country as they scour old shops, sheds, barns, and garage sales for antique finds.
